Campaign against Loyalty

Thomas O'Boyle reveals in his new book, *At Any Cost, that CEO posterboy Jack Welch of *GE actually waged a corporate campaign against loyalty when multiple letters from downsizees irked him with questions about the company's way of reciprocating their long years of loyal service. He stopped his lieutenants from using the word "loyalty" and expunged it from company documentation on the occasion of employee retirements.

Boyoboy, if Jack Welch is a posterboy for good CEOs, who needs bad ones?
